In a medium sized bowl measure out the flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar and sugar. Whisk together thoroughly. Cut the butter into cubes and incorporate into dry ingredients with a pastry blender until the butter is just smaller than a pea. In a small bowl combine the cream with egg. Add the cream-egg mixture to the flour mixture. This will be a wet batter. Turn over onto a floured board and knead folding over three to five times. Transfer the whole of the batter to a parchment lined baking sheet. Press the dough into a rectangle and with a floured knife cut into squares or triangles. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes. Serve warm.
