Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Cake
  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Place the rack in the center of the oven
  2. and set the temperature to 350 degrees.
  3. Prepare two square baking pans with
  4. shortening and a light dusting of cocoa.
  5. set aside.
  6. 2. Place the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, warm
  7. water, and oil in bowl of an electric mixer.
  8. Blend on low for about one minute. Stop the
  9. machine and scrape down then increase the
  10. mixer speed to medium and beat for two
  11. to three minutes. The batter will be thick.
  12. 3. Divide the batter between the two pans
  13. Make sure the batter is well distributed
  14. to the edges of the pans.
  15. 4.Bake the cake until the center springs
  16. back when lightly pressed and the
  17. sides just begin to pull away. Begin
  18. watching around 30 minutes.
  19. 5.Remove from the oven and set for 5 minutes.
  20. Turn over on wire rack.

How to Assemble Hot Fudge CakeYou may wait until the cake is fully cooled

  1. or prepare this dessert with the cake slightly
  2. warm. Cut the cake into squares - you can
  3. determine how big! Divide each square piece
  4. in half horizontally. Place the bottom of the
  5. slice in the dessert dish.
  6. Using good vanilla ice cream, turn out
  7. the whole container onto a cutting board
  8. and slice squares of the ice cream
  9. from the bottom.
  10. Place the square of the ice cream on the
  11. bottom layer of the cake and top
  12. ice cream with the top of the cake.
  13. Drizzle hot fudge sauce over the
  14. top of the cake. Place a dollop of real
  15. whipped cream atop the cake and finally top
  16. with a maraschino cherry.
