Cheese Grits

The one thing you can do to revolutionize how great your grits taste is adding - milk or heavy cream...you'll love it!

Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup stone ground or quick grits
  • 4 cups milk or half heavy cream
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese - grated
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp tobasco

Instructions

  1. To prepare grits bring the milk to a slow boil and slowly stir in the grits. Turn the burner down low and continue to cook for approximately 30 minutes stirring to keep from scorching the grits. Add the remaining ingredients.
