Lovely Spring Bouquets
Spring is all about the fresh color of green and flowers.
Bringing the fresh colors of spring indoors is one of my greatest delights…I always look forward to the beautiful transformation outdoors as the world brightens and warms. I can bring spring’s flowers into my home brightening each room.
“Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers, plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.” Luther Burbank
Redbuds in White Pitcher
Redbuds are actually dark pink when unopened and become lighter when they open. The diminutive flower buds run along the stem in little clusters. When they open they have a sweet fairy-like appearance – almost like a little butterfly or like a tiny slipper.
The Peonies are the Duchesses.
Spring Roses
I arranged the intoxicatingly fragrant, multi-petalled rose with the sweet Pretty Lady.
The Iris nestled with the bunnies by the window seat.
La Marne Roses
Daffodils, Snowbells, Bluebells and Forsythia
A sweet arrangement in the hall bathroom; little bottles suspended from towel hook.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
William Wordsworth
Azaleas
These beautiful blooms grace several bushes and make a glorious display all on their own.
Flowering Cherry Tree
These sweet pink blooms look charming in an old painted flower bucket – love the rustic appeal.
Loveliest of trees the Cherry now is hung with bloom along the bough. A. E. Housman
Forsythia in Blue bottles
Simple stems from the flowering Forsythia in blue – the gorgeous, vibrant contrast makes this corner alive.
Forsythia is pure joy. There is not an ounce, not a glimmer of sadness or even knowledge in forsythia. Pure, undiluted, untouched joy. Anne Lindbergh
Mock Orange and Roses in a basket
It’s a joy to walk through the garden filled with spring blooms, its a delight to bring these blooms indoors to decorate my home.
