I find myself on my own more often than not. This is the perfect time to reflect upon all God’s goodness. I am thankful for the very many blessings he has bestowed upon me. There is a sense of poetry in solitude.
You can step back and look at life and at situations. You can discuss them outright with the LORD and lay it all at His feet.
“I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.”
Jeremiah 17:10
Time is precious. It flies by way too fast – too fast to waste one moment of it. To me, enjoying the moments of blissful solitude enables me to cherish those moments with the ones I love.
It is so very important at times to take a moment to just – Be Still.
In times of solitude, you are able to do just that.
Oftentimes when I am alone, I play serene, soothing music. I love to fill the air with a wonderful fragrance. I love to create an atmosphere for myself of beauty that fills all the senses. I will fill vases with flowers, fragrant flowers, and place them in each room.
When you are on your own make each moment important, make it an event for yourself. You can easily do this for example by setting for yourself a beautiful place setting for your lunch. Make it a memorable, thoughtful event.
In times of solitude, it is a good time to reflect, to learn, and to dream. This is a good time to express thankfulness for all the blessings in your life. It is a good time to rest and it is a good time to take exquisite care of yourself.
Embrace your moments of solitude. Find the bliss in these times. Make every moment count. Every day and every opportunity is precious. Blissful solitude is a gift we give to ourselves.
I hope that you cherish the moments of solitude that can be blissful and can be poetical.
