How I Included French Toile and Script…
In my living room decor.
The Fun Part…Accessorizing
The beauty of the living room’s decor came out in the details. I LOVE old script and I love….
I wasn’t sure, however that the French Toile I had on hand would fit in the new color scheme. The greige and painted furniture directed me to muted shades of gray and blue…red became the additional accent color.
French Toile Curtains…Script Lampshade
I love finding thrifty deals! I found three sets of French Toile panels at an Estate sale. I hope to use the remainder in different ways throughout the house…The lampshade, I found at The Country Living Fair last fall. These lamps were my parents. “The Ladies” as I have called them seem to me to be an extension of the toile in relief…
I love old books with their yellowed patinaed pages. I used an old music book as part of my Christmas decor and afterwards left some of the pages here and there in my living room’s decor. I took the pages out and used a KraftEdge pair of craft scissors to give texture to the pages.
One of my favorite places to find French decor accessories is Sunday Brocantes Shop. This wonderful blogger’s shop is opened the first couple of days each month. I found these marvelous French Script pages there.
I have to have a little blue chintz added in the decor too! Don’t you love all the wonderful varieties of chintz in decor! The beautiful, deep green, textured leaves on these branches are from the Loquat tree in our backyard…love it!
The overall transformation of the living room is coming together…I couldn’t be more pleased. The greige walls, the French Toile and script accessories add to the serene, comfortable atmosphere I now seek in my home’s decor….Do you love French Toile and Script in your decor too?
