We have a long, long narrow front porch. I have seating areas at each end. I just needed a little bit more. Several years back I purchased a couple wicker chair table sets. I knew they would add much needed lovely seating for our front porch. But, of course, they needed some color. I chose bright fresh green that added charm to our front porch!
Front Porch:
Spray Paint – Rustoleum Spring Green to the Rescue!
There’s a wide variety of shades of green. I was pleased. When I saw the Spring Green – I knew it had just the right shade and freshness to add that special welcoming color and feel to our front porch. The chairs, of course would have to be white.
Adirondack Chairs
I just cleaned and refreshed the Adirondack chairs with a fresh coat of white paint. With a lovely outdoor rug, some pillows and pretty flowers – this corner is set.
The opposite corner has our La Marne rose bush as a backdrop and has a wrought iron table. This table was a light shade of blue – a bit worn out. So…to complement the wicker tables – I painted that one green too.
While I was at It…
The bistro set from IKEA had been painted an Aqua blue…it received a touch up. With all of the four chairs, two tables and the bistro set…it looked like I had a spray-paint-athon going on. I even freshened up one of the potted plants. I covered the flowers in plastic and painted around it.
Fresh, Fresh, Fresh
Our Front porch is now ready to accommodate several family members and guests. I love front porch sitting. Our next BIG project will have to be to build a pergola over the front of this porch. During the middle of the day it’s just too bright and hot to enjoy in the Summer.
But on a Cloudy day and When the Sun Sets…
This is where we can enjoy the balmy, perfumed breezes. Listen to the song of the birds, and enjoy one another’s company.
Do you freshen your outdoor furniture or garden decor? What color do you like? Who knows what color I’ll go for next year!
