I shared with you last week, that now is the time for me to resupply our home with bath towels. After searching for information on buying towels, I began my search and settled on two options. I decided to purchase my towels online because good stores are over an hour away from our home. Knowing what I was looking for (GSM rating), I selected towels from both Amazon.com (Superior 900 GSM Egyptian Cotton six-piece towel set and a set of four towels from the same company) and from Overstock.com.( Authentic Hotel and Spa Turkish Cotton Bath Sheets GSM 750).
Both shipments arrived quite quickly – I was very pleased.
From Overstock.com I selected two bath sheets – I knew my daughter and husband would love these over-sized towels – they are 70 inches long! Pictured here – folded they look like double their number.
From Amazon, I purchased a set of four towels and a complete set of two towels, two hand towels and two wash cloths.
The towels from Amazon were wrapped in a great plastic bag and tied with a golden ribbon stating, 100% Egyptian cotton. These are just what I expected. The towels from Overstock were also wrapped in a plastic bag.
I prewashed the towels. Both sets indicated what I had learned – wash the towels in warm water and dry at the low setting. Drying these towels seem to take some time. They came out bright and fluffy.
I like to tri-fold my towels along the length and twice over along the width. Folded this way they seemed quite thick. I can’t wait till my daughter comes home this weekend and to have each one of us give these towels a try.
The towels are all ready for use! I may purchase some towels from a local department store, still looking for a high GSM rating – we’ll see how well they all hold up a year from now.
