Will you have hearts everywhere, my Dearest asked. Yes! I certainly will!
I have two very large, very old rosemary bushes at the front walk of our home. This year, they’re blooming profusely. I knew I wanted to make something with the blossom-filled stems. Then my husband told me that due to the winds, one of the rosemary trunks split. So, I examined the bush, found it was still alive and we repaired the split with an old barn hinge dug into the ground and a wire hanger wrapped around the base of the split trunk. There are uses for wire hangers after all!
I picked several stems from that bush and had the idea that I’d shape another wire hanger into a heart shape and attach these stems to the heart form – this would be a perfect, fragrant wreath for my French Country kitchen.
I hung the wreath on one of the cup hooks below the suspended shelf in the kitchen. I love the look next to the French Wine Bottle holder.
The sweet small blue blossoms on the Rosemary stems go nicely with the colors in the kitchen.
I can’t wait till Dearest comes home to see this wreath…working on plans for the next one!
