There’s only one way home

In today’s society – right is in the eye of the beholder. In this society – all beliefs are right…but, are they?

There are a lot of ‘If thens...’ when you consider these things.

If all ways lead to the same place, then why did God allow His only begotten Son to die for all…if all could come to the same place not believing in Him?

If all ways lead to the same place, then perhaps following none of the above may lead to the same place as well. It’s personal.

If all ways lead to the same place, then right and wrong are in the eyes of the beholder.

That’s where I think this all has led. We are seeing more and more in society how that line of thinking progresses. My heart breaks when I hear of state after state, community after community celebrating the passage of laws allowing late term abortion. It breaks my heart for all.

It breaks my heart when I see so many focused on those attempting to come into our country as being more important than the homeless here, the veterans, the elderly…and more.

These things and more are right in other’s eyes and they are allowed to make their own morality – there’s no absolutes.

But, my dear friend, there are absolutes. There is a God. There is a Son who gave his life for all that all might have the opportunity to decide to believe and accept the free gift of Salvation. Other ways and beliefs are like walking on a treadmill. You do a lot of work, but you end up at the same place.

God’s gift of salvation to us is too precious. He also found all mankind to be precious to him – valuable. So valuable, that he gave the most important thing to Him to redeem mankind to Himself.

So, my heart goes out to those who believe all ways lead to God and who justify immoral acts – because, as so many have misquoted, ‘we can’t judge’. But, we certainly can and we certainly should.

We should however approach those who oppose themselves, for that’s what they’re doing, with compassion and with love. Don’t give up on those who haven’t seen clearly yet the awesome promise and gift of eternal life with God. He hasn’t given up on them yet.

If someone tells you they can believe what they want and that it doesn’t matter, simply tell them – ‘all roads don’t lead home’.

It’s more important now than ever to be kind, to be compassionate, to be light and to be salt. If you know and believe that the only way to God is through His Son Jesus Christ – live your life like you believe it. Go out and do the best you can in what you do. Go out and be an encouragement to all people. Go out and be compassionate – give to someone in need. Go out and demonstrate that the great love God bestowed upon us lives and shines through you.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear….Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. ” Hebrews 11:1-3; 12:1-2
