You are Never Alone in Christ
Sometimes if seems like we face battles all on our own. There can be a sense of being overwhelmed by people and circumstances beyond our control. What do we do?
First of all – realize in Christ – you are never alone.
Hebrews 13:5 – state, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as yea have; for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE. So, that we may boldly say, THE LORD IS MY HELPER, AND I WILL NOT FEAR WHAT MAN CAN DO UNTO ME”.
Remember You are Shielded…
Psalm 28:7 – “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”
We Have Access Through Prayer…
Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Philippians 4:6-7, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
We have an Advocate and an Intercessor…
John 17:6-12, “I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.”
We have a Comforter…
John 14:16-17, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
We are Part of a Family
Galatians 6:2, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Sometimes we think that we want to be released from the burdens of life. But, it is during these times we find just how much we are loved; we find we get stronger through these trials…we also find that we can be more compassionate toward others and empathize when they go through similar difficulties…No one leads a trouble-free life. We are blessed that when we do go through trials we can trust that we are not alone, that God is always by our side; Jesus is our advocate, the Holy Spirit is our comforter and fellow Christians are our support.
