Romancing the Master Bedroom Mantel for Christmas
I am a romantic at heart…
I love adding beauty to every room in our home…most especially the master bedroom.
This is our haven…this is our retreat…to me it should be very romantic.
I adore having a fireplace in our home. Our bedroom is pretty large – this is a 1914 Craftsman style home. Several in our little town believe it is a Sears Kit Home. I’m intrigued…I’m going to find out for sure.
But…for our room, our mantel I added touches of Christmas romance here and there.
I began with this simple gold laced runner – actually two overlapping in the center. I loved how the curvy lines go along the edges.
I have this rose-pearl garland alongside this Shabby Chic dried rose wreath that I strung along the mantel complementing the curves and the softness of the runner.
Simply adding a few Christmas balls here and there…
Romance that is here to stay.
One of Dearest and my favorite movies is, “Pride and Prejudice” – I gifted Dearest with this romantic quote on the wall…a reminder of how we truly feel for each other.
The Willow Tree figurine also reflects our love for each other…
As does this couple’s bust…I found this at an Estate sale and knew it was perfect for our room.
Pictures of Dearest and I on one side and the children on the other complete our mantel.
A cozy spot to sit…these slipcovered chairs are so cozy…the warm southern sun shines in as we sit, enjoy reading, a cup of tea or coffee…enjoy our retreat.
Christmas is a lovely time to reflect on the blessings of life. Mine is that I found my beloved, we have a wonderful life and know that because of God’s love…we’ll know each other forever.
