I love the sounds of the morning.
The sounds of the water heating for coffee, Dearest’s footfalls upstairs as he prepares for work, the birds singing, and even the silence. Each morning is such a gift – the familiar things and the surprises.
A Cause to Sing
This is my big project this week! I’m transforming the dining room. I shared a while back my plans…it’s now coming to pass. This corner is the first ‘finished‘ with the new ceiling, trim and wall colors. When Dearest walks into the room now, he breaks into song! I’ll share what later! Darling Daughter brought home these sunflowers from her boyfriend’s family’s farm. I think I want to paint them!

Morning Garden Walk
When Dearest left for work, I fed our son’s dog Grace as I was opening the barn, the cats came bounding over – they were hungry too! I enjoy watching them come anticipating and when they see each other – the way they greet.
This Fragrant Lily
drew my attention. I found it when Dearest and I attended The Southeastern Flower Show a couple years back. I wish I’d bought more than one!
Collecting Lilies
My eldest daughter gave the youngest daughter several old bottles to use, I thought they’d be lovely with each lily – summer’s song begins with the morning Daylilies.
A Heart Filled With Joy
I awoke this morning with a heart filled with joy in the knowledge of God’s love…it is so amazing to consider His thoughts toward us, His plans and how truly Delightsome life is!
It’s a Beautiful Morning
There’s a lot ahead in this week! We’ll be celebrating the Fourth of July, finishing paint then other projects to complete the dining room, preparing for upcoming events – I’ll be going to the blogging conference, Haven next week! So excited! But in all this, I wanted to take a moment – to enjoy the beauty of the day, the gorgeous summer lilies, the sounds of the morning, all of the little things that come together to make our lives joyful.
