I’ve seen them everywhere for quite some time in blogland. Beautiful wooden dough bowls filled with a variety of beautiful items – these things are so versatile.
Although they really are quite rustic, they seem to fit right in with a lot of decorating styles. This one I found at the Country Living Fair is quite large and heavy. I found it at Great Stuff by Paul’s booth – which I’ve seen at the Fair for the past three years. He always has a large variety of very interesting finds.
I was determined that this year was my year to pick up one of these beauties…among quite a number of other wonderful finds. It seems my theme for this year, was ‘go big or go home!’ I filled the backseat of Dearest’s Mitsubishi Eclipse – convertible with this bread dough bowl and a some other things…I’ll share more soon.
I had my daughter with me – it was such a delight to share Friday at the Fair with her, she had another event to attend Saturday and I was to participate in a ‘meet and greet’ with other bloggers along with Country Living Magazine Editor Sarah Gray Miller. Sadly, she’s leaving Country Living Magazine…she’s always been wonderful, fun and gracious to talk to at the Fair. I could tell she truly loved her work and is just like us – loved to collect beautiful things.
Darling Daughter helped me carry some of the wonderful finds – I did choose this year to find somewhat heavy, largish treasures. I told Dearest that I wouldn’t need a larger vehicle because I wouldn’t be buying furniture…I probably could of used a wee bit more space. More soon!
