Christmas decor in the kitchen
The centerpiece to the Christmas decorations in this part of the kitchen is the burlap Christmas wreath I made a few days back.
I was very pleased with how it turned out. Initially I left the grapevine tree blank, but a few shared that they thought it should have some color too. So I added simple berry garlands and this little trivet beside it.
My next project was putting a small tree in the Olive Bucket. I wanted the decorations to be simple and to compliment the burlap wreath, so I made some small burlap stockings, again from coffee sacks, added crochet and red ribbon, some berries and this sweet little red polka dot bird. I’m loving the color combination of the burlap and the red.
I didn’t try to be very exact in the pattern of the stocking, I wanted it to look homemade and rustic.
I then added branches from our tree and some glittered red apples to the white bowl and pitcher on the chair.
In the garden baskets I added a swag of berries and white roses. This corner of the kitchen is complete. I’m working on finishing touches for our annual Christmas party. I’ll share what I’m making, the decor and the rest of the Christmas decor in the house very soon!
