French Farmhouse
Of Chickens, Roosters, Chintz, Patina, Graphics and more…
I am sooo close! There are a few finishing touches I need to do to complete the kitchen renovation. I have been delayed a little bit, but have been putting things up on the walls – I have decided to put mostly plates up.
In this corner.
I am really liking the look of this corner. I was going back and forth about putting up a few shelves, but then remembered that I had this plate and cup shelf from an estate sale – it needed some paint to coordinate with the rest of the room.
I decided to put some of my favorite teacups and saucers on this cup and saucer rack. I put it up high, because I have plans for this corner.
I like these sweet little plates with the birds – I am pretty sure they were from TJMAXX a few years back.
Looking for balance and not too much in this corner I added these trays surrounding the cup and plate rack – I love the patina and the symmetry.
On the wall by the peninsula, I painted the rack white and put back the red chintz dishes as well as some of the Rose Chintz teacups.
I truly love the pattern of these teacups –
I love this French chicken graphic from The Graphic Fairy. I enlarged it into four sections and decoupaged it onto the laundry room door. I darkened it some with marker and with colored pencils.
The wrought iron elements are remaining – I love their contrast to the lighter colors in the kitchen.
I took these pictures early this morning, it was foggy and I love the shadow effect of this rooster lamp on my desk.
I layed these silk sunflowers on this stool by my desk, temporarily. I like how they look – they may remain.
These are a few glimpses of the kitchen renovation.

One of the things I ordered is en route – yeah! I have a couple of more details to finish as I said earlier and something to build – to go into this corner. Then – I’ll show you the whole transformation.
