Easy and rejuvenating tips to begin your week
I have been working very hard to renovate our kitchen. There are two main reasons.
It’s our kitchen
a hub of daily activity…
Company is coming
This coming weekend is Family Reunion for our family – a big gathering of my husband’s father’s family. BIG. Darling Daughter has a friend coming over…my room, The Retreat is full of Kitchen stuff and needs to be cleaned out.
I had reached the point of physical fatique from painting and scrubbing. So I decided yesterday, I needed a day of rest.
Recipe for a relaxing bath
Petals of 3 roses
1 cup whole milk
1 cup honey
20 drops rose essential oil
In a warm bath add the whole milk and the honey, stir with your hands. Add the petals and the essential oil. Enjoy quiet moments with soft music and candles…warm to hot baths are wonderful for tired muscles – take the time to relax.
Oatmeal Exfoliant
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup oatmeal, uncooked
Oatmeal is a wonderful, natural exfoliant. It is gentle and effective in sloughing off dead skin in a soothing way.
Green Tea Mask
2 green tea bags
2 tablespoons Green Tea Clay
3 vitamin C Capsules
Green tea is wonderful in its beneficial attributes – antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. Vitamin C aids the skin in elasticity and improving texture –
Steep the green teabags in a kettle filled with water until the kettle whistles. Pour 1/2 cup of the green tea into a small bowl. Add green tea clay and stir well. Open the vitamin C capsules and pour over the green tea mixture – blend well. Apply to your face and allow to dry – avoid the eye area. Rinse with warm water.
