Birdbath Decorated with Candles and Gardenias
I was inspired by a photo I saw on Pinterest to create this decor vignette in my garden. I think it is so romantic to combine the beeswax candles with the fragrant Gardenias.
In this corner of the garden the summer blooms are lush, I just cut back the flowers off the snapdragons – else this would have been surrounded by gorgeous red blooms – they should rebloom soon.
I love the colors of the Monarda, Daylilies and roses in this corner of the garden along with the Morning Glory.
A southern staple in the garden, the richly fragrant Gardenia is a perfect compliment to these beeswax candles that in themselves smell marvelously of honey.
This week we can enjoy the most daylight hours – isn’t it marvelous – I love the length of the summer days – but, as the sun sets, it seems the fragrant flowers give us a sweet note of goodnight by perfuming the air giving us a promise of the lovely day to come.
