As the song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers shares, Spring is Ma Nature’s lyrical, yearly miracle. Life, beauty comes back to the world that was asleep through the cold winter days and nights.
“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”. . . “It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine . . .” —Frances Hodgson Burnett
I am so delighted to be sharing with you today some of the Spring decor I’ve put throughout my home. I’m more excited to be sharing this event with some amazing ladies – you’ll love what they share and will be inspired to bring Spring decor to your home!
I love seeing the change outdoors, the beautiful flowers growing, all of the budding, the green of the grass, and the birds…especially my backyard filling with Robins, Spring’s miracle has begun.
In my home, I’m inspired to change each room’s decor over from Winter to Spring. I am also in the mood to deep clean my home as well as declutter…I want all things to be light, bright and clean.
Beautiful Green
Spring green…it’s light, bright and cheerful. That’s exactly what I want for my decor. I have several little floral arrangements from my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner – they’re just the perfect color and will bring beauty throughout my living room.
Moss Green Wreath
Reindeer moss is the perfect spring green! This wreath was so very easy to make. Check out this tutorial.
In the Dining Room
Spring vignettes make the room bright. I’ve filled this large bread dough bowl with beautiful spring decor and have added two sweet bunnies to look over it.
On the table I have a sweet farmhouse basket filled with Easter eggs – spring beauty and Easter promise.
“Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.” Ranier Maria Rilke
In the Master Bedroom, Spring takes on a lighter tone. I change over the comforter from a velvety green to white and light green. There’s always a blanket or a sweater for those still chilly moments.
Fresh flowers are always a must – no matter what the season is.
In the kitchen, where we spend a lot of our time, the focal point is this handmade hutch. I love transforming it with decor from season to season. This Spring’s theme is – Shabby French.
Light pastel colors, rustic decor and florals all come together for a cheerful display.
Decorating seasonally is a good way to rotate your collectibles. Spring is the perfect time for me to bring out my china and dish collection.
The living room built-ins have a lighter look. I removed a lot of books. I love to not only read books but to also collect them! Surprised?! I am drawn to pretty book covers as well as to very old books.
On the ottoman, I am keeping it simple and neutral with these chalk painted books and handmade wood bead garland.
