The Bird Girl Welcomes You!
I had a terrific time visiting my siblings in South Carolina last weekend. I helped my sister and brother-in-law prepare for the Fall Flower Show this coming weekend, October 4-6 at the Florence Farmer’s Market on 52. Their booths are Lawhon Produce. They have an amazing array of Mums and Pumpkins!
Knowing I would be going to there market, I waited on decorating my front door until I found what I wanted there.
I was fascinated by this pumpkin – it is covered in a skin that resembles Peanut shells – Love it’s color and texture. Across the way from their market is Smith’s Concrete Products….I saw this sweet little girl at the front door – I told my brother-in-law that I wanted to get it….later I was surprised to learn that he purchased it for me! I was so excited – and when I saw the larger one, I made a quick decision to get both – I had been wanting these whimsical, romantic statues for a very long time. They should have more available this coming weekend!
For the front door decor, I started with this wreath ~ I simply added a burlap bow and a swag of sunflowers.
I topped this small table with a burlap sack and placed the mum I chose from the Lawhon booth. Love the deep purple color!
I also purchased a couple of these white pumpkins – they come in all shapes and sizes.
All together, this is a simple front door fall vignette – simple, sweet and welcoming.
I want to name this sweet little girl – the owners of the original named theirs ‘Wendy’. I am considering Eiza ane Ella for my two girls. Dearest says their just statues! Yes, but to me their my little girls of the garden. What do you think!?
