Creating a Romantic Fall Tablescape with Apple Votives
“Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves, We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!” Humbert Wolfe
I am enamored with the Autumn season. The chillier nights and autumn light encourage romantic evening meals. These sweet little apples make charming votives for this rustic charming tablescape.
I love saving faded roses and these seemed perfect to add elegance and romance to this tablescape. The candlelight enhances their beauty.
Little white baby boo pumpkins are the sweetest! I included a few smaller pumpkins that I painted with Chalked Spray paint. You know I love the beautiful power of paint!
“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.” Jim Bishop
To add rustic charm to the tablescape, I used a burlap coffee sack as a runner, burlap chargers and pressed dried leaves.
The votives were easy to make. Using small round apples I set a votive on top; scored around the edges; cut straight down with a pairing knife then scooped out just enough apple to drop in the tiny tea light votive.
“There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves.” Joe L. Wheeler
Spending and enjoying the wonders of fall each day…enjoying the twilight hours enhanced by a beautiful tablescape and by candlelight.
