Yesterday, while out shopping I found these gorgeous flowers at Kroger. I usually bypass all the ‘new’ flowers and look what is offered for clearance. I found two bouquets of roses for two dollars each and one bunch of Lilies for three dollars. The Lilies drew me by their incredible fragrance.
I quickly put them in water last night and this morning casually arranged them in this urn to take a few pictures before going to work. I think they’ll make a lovely Easter tablescape arrangement.
For now, they’re sitting on our buffet next to the ‘Welcome Home’ sign. No matter what the day was like, I thought it would be Delightsome to have a reminder that we’re always glad to be home.
I loved seeing the pale pink roses and white lily against dark colors, so I played with setting them by the old piano in the dining room.
I have been teasing my family for days, quoting the movie, ‘My Big Fat Greet Wedding’ where the aunt says, ‘That’s o.k., I make lamb’. Well, for our Easter dinner, I make lamb! I have never cooked lamb before. I’m looking forward to it, but also a wee bit aprehensive! Have any of you cooked lamb – what do you season it with and how did you cook it? I’m looking for recipes, but I’m sure your experience would be better!
That’s really the only recipe/dish that will be a stretch for me, another new dish I’m going to prepare is a Pinterest cake called ‘Banana Pudding Poke Cake’ my family is fond of Banana Pudding and I thought this would be terrific for them.
Until then, I’ll be working round the house to get it cleaned and ready! I have been working more hours at work stepping in for one of the girls whose out on maternity leave. It has been great on one hand, but, it seems I’m always working on the pretty days when I’d love to be in the garden or creating something!
