The Heart of Christmas post Queen's Teacup Set Banana Muffins

Perhaps because I’m getting older. Perhaps because so many of my dear loved ones have already passed away – gone home to Heaven. Perhaps it is that hours, days, weeks and months seem to be flying by so fast.

I have come to appreciate what truly is precious to me.

When I was a young woman, I thought I knew what I wanted in life. Some of these  included ‘things’. I thought if I had….or if I were…. I’d be happy.

Happiness doesn’t come from things or how you may appear.

Happiness comes from being content with who, where, and with whom you are.

“I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of; for to have been thought about, born in God’s thought, and then made by God is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking.”
— C.S. Lewis

While we’re into this Christmas season there’ll be a lot  for us to do and a lot that will need our attention. In the midst of this, I hope to enjoy each precious moment with my family…enjoying our time together decorating our Christmas tree. Not worrying if it’s perfect, but making memories.

An Easy Christmas Gift or Exchange Gift Each year at our Christmas party we do a ‘Left ~ Right’ game. My husband reads a Christmas story and every time he reads the word ‘left’ or the word ‘right’ our party guests pass the gifts I’ve prepared. At the end of the game whoever is holding […]

It began with an idea Inspiration for wreaths of all kinds abound every where. There’s so many beautifully styled natural and creative wreaths to choose from. I wanted a burlap wreath. Glittered Bleached Pinecones

Thoughtful Living

Adding Rustic Sparkle I saw recently Miss Mustard Seed’s glittered pinecone! She found these amazing, large ones at Hobby Lobby. Absolutely gorgeous. I have a few that I bleached that I could play with for our Christmas decor, as well as some that weren’t bleached. I decided to add glitter to the Pinecones and to […]
